2023 Sport Injury Scholarship Winner

We are incredibly excited to announce Lily Sowle as the winner of our 2023 Sport Injury Scholarship!

Below is a short biography and reaction shared with us by our winner:

Lily Sowle

From Parkville, Missouri, Lily Sowle is currently a senior at St. Pius X high school in Kansas City, Missouri.  After graduating in May, Lily will attend nearby Rockhurst University, where she is enrolled as a nursing major and plans to eventually become a nurse anesthetist. In addition, Lily is the founder of “Lily’s League,” a charity that supports underserved communities through donations that provide safe and/or otherwise unaffordable soccer gear. When not coaching soccer or growing her charity, Lily enjoys spending time with family and friends.

Reaction Statement

“I am excited and incredibly honored for being selected for the Bence Law 2023 Sport Injury Scholarship!  I will use this scholarship to help me pursue a degree in nursing at Rockhurst University. This scholarship serves as a reminder that even though my sports injury has created a few hardships for me over the years, those challenges have led to this wonderful opportunity. Thank you, Bence Law, for helping me to eventually help others.”
